Fullerton Redevelopment Agency v. World Citrus West
In this eminent domain proceeding, the plaintiff - Fullerton Redevelopment Agency - sought to acquire 2.83 acres of property from defendant World Citrus West. The sole issue was the amount of "just compensation" that the plaintiff was required to pay for the taking of the property and any resulting damages to the remainder property by reason of the taking. Partner Gary Weisberg and associate Anish Banker settled the case in September 2008 for $10.5 million.
