Mr.
Weiler is a partner of Palmieri, Tyler. He received his undergraduate degree
from California State University, Long Beach (B.A., with honors, 1978) and
his law degree from Hastings College of Law, University of California (J.D.,
1981). He was a member of Hastings International and Comparative Law
Review.
Mr. Weiler's specialty is real estate with an emphasis on the representation
of residential homebuilders and developers. The major emphasis of Mr. Weiler's
practice is transactional, involving the entire breadth of the development
process from acquisition, development, funding and disposition of real estate
assets.
As a corollary to his transactional practice, Mr. Weiler has developed an
expertise in land use regulation with particular expertise in the Subdivision
Map Act, Planning Law, California Environmental Quality Act, and California
law pertaining to development fees, exactions and dedications. He has represented
clients in administrative and legislative proceedings before many of the
cities, counties and other local agencies located in Southern California,
advocating the rights of property owners through the development process.
Mr. Weiler has served as Chairman of the Seal Beach Parks and Recreation
Commission, as an Elected Member of the Orange County Republican Central
Committee, as a Member of the CAC Orange County Transportation Commission,
and on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Community Development
Commission. Currently, Mr. Weiler is a member of the Home Builders Council
of the Building Industry Association of San Diego and Southern California
and the Zoning, Land Use and Environmental Regulation Committee of the California
State Bar Real Property Section and co-founder and board member of the Orange
County St. Thomas More Society. Mr. Weiler is also a California licensed
real estate broker.
