Michael L. D'Angelo



Mr. D’Angelo has been practicing eminent domain law for over 20 years and has a long track record of achieving favorable results for his clients.   He represents Southern California business owners in nearly every industry in condemnation and inverse condemnation matters as well as defended his clients’ positions and negotiated with government agencies.

In his general litigation practice, Mr. D’Angelo represents Southern California businesses owners in disputes involving breach of contracts, partnership disputes, purchase and sale of a business.  He also has settled cases out of court, and through arbitration and mediation.

Representative Matters:

Los Angeles Unified School District v. Meruelo Maddux Properties which resulted in a judgment of $50 million

Chaffey Joint UHSD v. Intex Properties Inland Empire LP which resulted in a judgment in excess of $17 million

Temecula Valley USD v. Sheffield FV-II, LLC which resulted in a judgment in excess of $14 million

State v. La Cresta Investments, where the State paid in excess of $9 million for a partial taking of an apartment complex

State v. Los Angeles Athletic Club, which resulted in a $4 million judgment in Orange County
